Green Building promotes the health and wellness of all participants, particularly the occupants. The Construction process utilizes many toxic materials that can cause harm to workers and to homeowners. Green building strives to find alternatives to chemically infested products. This includes non-toxic paints, sealants, carpets, adhesives, etc.

Green Building is about durability and flexibility. To preserve the world’s scarce resources such as wood (trees), it is critical that our product last a long time. We build a home to last a lifetime and to allow flexibility for a family to grow. By planning for future growth, we strive to design and build in a way that allows for future remodels and renovations with little disturbance to the existing structure.

Green building strives for energy efficiency. We use special high quality insulating materials along with wall systems that promote a high insulation factor. We encourage the use of Passive solar design (capturing the sun’s energy naturally) along with Photovoltaic systems for electricity generation. These save precious resources and reduce energy bills. The pay back on these types of systems is enormous.

Green building strives to save natural resources. By using recycled and salvaged materials, we can ensure that future generations will be able to enjoy the Earth’s precious natural resources.

Green Building reduces global warming. Global warming is now a reality. Green Building uses processes and products that reduce carbon emissions, therefore reducing the affects of global warming.
